US lumber prices hold steady with balanced supply and demand.

Despite the lull in demand during the double holiday period, the market remained stable with consistent prices and well-matched supply levels.

Western spruce, pine, and fir prices stood at $384 mfbm in the week ending May 24, showing a marginal increase of $1 compared to the previous week.

However, this price is $46 lower than it was a month ago when it reached $430 mfbm.

In comparison to the same period last year, the current price has risen by $34, indicating a 10% increase.

Nevertheless, compared to two years ago, the price has declined significantly by $517, representing a 57% decrease.
