Poland puts an end to logging in oldest forests.

Poland wants the company in charge of its forests, covering 7 million hectares, to stop cutting down trees in the 10 oldest areas.

About 1.5% of the forests managed by the government will be affected by the temporary six-month pause in logging.

This decision is the first step towards more significant changes, with plans to limit cutting down trees in these old forests even more.
