Exports to Russia in June this year were up by 14.5 per cent to €1.2 billion over May the 2022 figure, whereas they were down by 40.3 per cent over the June 2021 figure. Imports from Russia rose by 4.8 per cent to €3.5 billion in June from May 2022. Germany exported goods to the value of €72.9 billion to the member states of the European Union (EU) in June this year, while it imported goods worth €62.8 billion from those countries in the month.
Compared with May 2022, exports to EU countries rose by 3.9 per cent and imports from those countries by 0.3 per cent. The value of the goods exported to euro area countries totalled €50.7 billion and the value of the goods imported from there was €43.1 billion.
