In August 2023, Finland harvested 4.8 million m³ of industrial roundwood, marking a 20% decrease compared to the previous year.
During the first 8 months of 2023, Finland's total commercial timber harvest amounted to 38.1 million m³, reflecting a 4% year-on-year decrease and a 6% drop from the five-year average.
Out of the industrial roundwood removed, 2.2 million m³ consisted of sawlogs, while pulpwood accounted for 2.6 million m³.
